This painting was part of the very first works of some artists of the "Hangar" arrived in France at the end of the Sixties. Almost unknown in France (which was not the case in other countries, in particular Belgium and the States -Unis), these painters were exhibited by a couple, in love with Africa in an ephemeral Toulonnaise gallery (see attached documents of the time, where we recognize the painting of Pilipili at the top left of the photo).
